Esher and District Model Flying Club welcomes all pilots of IC<\/abbr> powered, electrically powered and glider fixed wing model aircraft. The club is fully affiliated to the British Model Flying Association.\u00a0 The aims of the club are to promote the safe enjoyment of model flying and we pride ourselves as being a very friendly club. <\/span><\/p>\n Beginners to the hobby are encouraged and flying instruction is available from volunteer Club instructors. We offer free training, using the buddy box lead system, for model flyers beginning their steps into this rewarding hobby. The objective is to get members to the standard to reach BMFA \u201cA\u201d certificate level, after which they can fly solo.<\/span><\/p>\n The Club fly at our field on most Saturdays (weather permitting) which is located a little to the south of Reigate. The Club also has monthly evening social meetings during the winter months to help ensure we all keep abreast of developments when good flying weather is less likely.
