These are detailed Here.
See the following section "Club meetings" for details and a map with details of how to find it.
At some meetings activities are organised and an average year includes an auction, 1 or 2 instruction evenings, 1 or 2 videos of model events, talks by experienced modellers etc. The remaining evenings are spent having a general "natter" Flying on the sports field is permitted on summer evenings with some limitations – see "Flying Field Rules".
This is held at a November meeting at the club headquarters at 8pm, and covers the appointment of the committee for the year, the club's accounts, and planning of the club's activities and programme for the coming year. REMEMBER - It is your club, please attend the AGM!
The Club has two fields - one near Merstham in Surrey, the other near Cobham.
Non-members may visit the flying sites if they do so accompanied by a full member.
A series of monthly league competitions are run every year and a points system is operated as follows:-
| 1st - 15 points | 2nd - 12 points | 3rd - 10 points |
| 4th - 8 points | 5th - 6 points | 6th - 4 points |
| 7th - 2 points | all other participants - 1 point | |
A table is maintained during each season and results are obtained by totalling the best 4 results for each member.
Two leagues exist as follows:-
| League 1 | Intermediate & Advanced pilots |
| League 2 | Novice pilots |
Engraved awards are presented to winners at the AGM and momento awards at the subsequent AGM.
Entry to competitions is free and they are guaranteed to improve your flying!

Several free newsletters are issued to members during the year giving details of coming events, past results, matters of interest etc.
Members are encouraged to contribute articles and the P.R.O will be more than pleased to hear from you. The latest newsletter can be found under the 'Latest Newletter link in the Index on the left of this page (or click the <Home> link at the bottom of this page) From the each newsletter it is possible to select the previous one. At least two years of back issues are available.
These are payable at the AGM after the amount has been agreed for the coming year. The final date for payment is the second meeting in January - However BMFA insurance ends December 31st - so you will not be allowed to fly after this date until you have paid. Membership will lapse after the 31st January. In order to keep subs to a minimum there may be a £1 charge made for Saturday flying.
There are reduced rates for juniors and OAP’s. See the Want to Join? section for details of rates
There is a one off charge made by new members which represents a nominal sum towards the benefits that have been established by former members, and it is represented by the existing club assets and facilities.
